Assam Police will conduct recruitment in various districts of Assam for filling up of 2391Posts of Constable of Unarmed Branch of District Executive Force and 4271Posts of Constable of Armed Branch in the Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-49000/-, with Grade pay of Rs 5600.00(Pay Band-II). Which is already appllyed so we will discuss about the selection process, syllabus and guide books for Assam Police Constable Unarmed Branch/Armed Branch Recruitment 2020.

C:-Documents.

(a).All the original documents along with a set of Photostat copies of the documents will be checked before the candidate is allowed to appear in the PST and PET as per the given eligibility criteria.

(b).Candidates who are rejected will be given rejection slips specifying the reason of rejection.

(C). In order to avoid manipulation of documents at later stage, the Chairman or a Member of the DLSC shall put his/her signature on each copy of such document at the time of PST/PET; particularly on caste certificate and any other documents which carry marks against Extra-Curricular Activities and Special Skills.

Physical Standards Tests (PST):-

 In the PST (Physical Standard Test)-

(a).It will carry no marks.

(b).Measurement of the height, weight & chest (only males) of the candidates will be done using latest technology and after which the candidate will be examined by a Medical Officer for preliminary check-ups.

After the completed Physical Standards Tests(PST) he/she will have to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test(PET):-

In The Physical Efficiency Test-

(a). It will carry 40 marks.

(b). CCTV will be installed for recording each event of the PST and PET for each candidate. Performances may also be announced through PA system.

(c). All Candidates will be subjected to bio-metric recordings for identification.
 
(d). A candidate gets eliminated from the recruitment process as soon as he/she fails to qualify in any event during PST or PET. A candidate may have to take the PET in a sequence as decided by the DLSC.
(e). Individual statement of marks signed by the candidate and the officer conducting the race/ tests will be shown to the candidates. 
(f). A rejection slip will be given to a candidate when he/she is eliminated from a particular Test. 
(g). Marks for Extra-Curricular Activities and Special Skills will not be announced instantly as this may involve further verification of information.
(h). Results of the PST and PET will be locally displayed at the end of each day of Test.
(i). After completion of the PST and PET for all the candidates, District-wise merit lists for each category (Unreserved, OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H) for both men and women) will be prepared on the basis of the total marks scored on PET. 
(j). Candidates will be called for the Written Test in order of merit at the rate of 5 (five) times the number of posts allotted in respect of each category. If the total number of qualifying candidates turns out to be less than 5 times the number of posts, all qualifying candidates but no other will be called for the Written Test.
(k). It will have 2 (two) events:-1.Male Candidates:
a) Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 3.2 km race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds).
b) Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).

2.Female Candidates:
a) Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 1600mtrs. race to be completed within 08 minutes .
b) Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).

Written Test:
 
1.Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. – For each correct answer the candidate will get half a mark. 

2,Questions will be of the level of class IX and X. 
3.Total marks for the Written Test will be 50. 
4.There will be no negative marking.
5.Written Test will be conducted throughout the State on one day at each district HQ.Extra-Curricular Activities and Special Skills: 
 
1.Candidate will receive up to 10 marks under this section. 

2.Marks are to be rewarded as per his/ her extra qualifications or eligibility.
